Investigations of the Higgs Boson with the ATLAS Detector

Abstract
The project will focus on investigation of the Higgs boson with data from the ATLAS detector taken during in the upcoming LHC run at a centre-of- mass energy of 13 TeV. Novel statistical and multivariate methods will be developed and applied to establish the existence of Higgs decay modes such as ttH. The properties of these events will be used to test predictions of the Standard Model and to search for New Physics.
