PI Contribution | As part of the collaborative doctoral programme, I assist the curators with aspects of collection care (such as cataloguing, labeling and moving objects) and public engagement activities at the museum. |
Collaborator Contribution | The NMS provided necessary curatorial training and workshops, and grants me with access to all the museum facilities, including the collection centre. As part of the CDP AHRC agreement they also contribute to my travelling expenses to attend conferences and workshops. |

Results and Impact | The digital outreach project was created at the occasion of the microscopy exhibition at the NMS "Nature Revealed". The aim of project was to maintain the public access to the microscopy collection after the closure of the temporary collection and to provide more details of aspects of the history of microscopy relating to the NMS collection. |

Results and Impact | The public engagement activities allow the visitors to engage intellectually and physically with historic objects or materials found in a museum. The activites I participated in over the past years focused on "plastic", "cameras", and "microscopes". The sessions are usually 1,5 hours long and attract up to 50 visitors (mostly kids) during that time span. |
