Description | Dr Gethin Matthews and Dr Gerard Oram were awarded a grant by the AHRC (in November/December 2013) to work with BBC Wales as academic advisors for their series of items 'Our Place in the First World War'. This initiative resulted in a series of items for both radio and web (plus some televisual output). Results and Impact | I was the academic historian invited to speak at the only 'World War One at Home' Roadshow organised by the BBC in Wales, at the Rhyl Airshow on 30-31 August 2014. The BBC's figures show that close to 34,000 people engaged with the content at this event. |
