Identifying DNA methylation signatures in Alzheimer's disease blood
Lead Research Organisation:
UNIVERSITY OF EXETER
Department Name: University of Exeter Medical School
Abstract
The identification of novel biological markers (biomarkers) for Alzheimers Disease (AD) will allow earlier and more successful treatment. This project will integrate genome-wide genetic, epigenetic and gene expression measures in blood from AD patients with detailed clinical, epidemiological and neuroimaging data with the aim to identify unique biomarkers for AD

Title | Blood DNA methylation data from the AddNeuroMed cohort |
Description | A subset of whole blood samples from the AddNeuroMed cohort were used to generate genome-wide DNA methylation data using Illumina HumanMethylation 450K arrays. Participants in this study include controls, Alzheimer's disease patients, and individuals with mild cognitive impairment. |
