New Enantioselective Transition-Metal-Catalysed Domino Reactions
Lead Research Organisation:

Abstract
The goal of this project is to develop new synthetic methodology to prepare important chiral chemical building blocks in enantioenriched form. We will target domino reactions which result in the formation of two or more carbon-carbon bonds in the same overall process. These reactions will be catalysed by chiral metal complexes based upon first-row transition metals such as manganese, cobalt, nickel, or copper in conjunction with chiral ligands, to hopefully induce high diastereo- and enantioselectivities.
