Machine learning and statistical techniques to aid precision measurements of the Higgs Boson

Lead Research Organisation: University of Edinburgh
Department Name: Sch of Physics and Astronomy

Abstract

I will be Conducting my PhD research in the area of experimental Particle Physics, analysing data taken by the ATLAS experiment at the LHC at CERN. More specifically this will involve state of the art Machine learning and statistical techniques to aid precision measurements of the Higgs Boson by the University of Edinburgh. At its current status I have successfully set up a Neural Network framework in which I can use as a basis to improve my analysis.
