Title | Novel method for affinity biosensor signal enhancement |
Description | A simple and sensitive approach for affinity biosensor signal enhancement using gold nanoparticles. We introduced a simple pre-treatment approach for targeting proteins in a serum matrix using gold nanoparticles (GNPs) as a signal enhancer. The electrical conductivity of GNPs has a significant impact on the electrochemical doubler-layer and the method was then successfully applied for the enhancement of the electrochemical impedance detection of a protein. The method is generic enough to be applied to a wide range of affinity biosensors and simple enough to make it applicable for point-of-care microfluidic sensing devices. |
