Precision neutrino physics at the Fermilab short-baseline programme
Lead Research Organisation:
Lancaster University
Department Name: Physics
Abstract
The short-baseline neutrino programme at the Fermi Laboratory will conduct a multi-detector search for sterile neutrinos using an accelerator neutrino beam and three large Liquid Argon Time Projection Chambers: SBND, MicroBooNE and ICARUS. The goal of this project is to collaborate on the commissioning of the SBND detector as it comes online, to develop reconstruction and analysis tools for SBND physics, and to conduct a search for short-baseline neutrino oscillations using the first data from SBND and ICARUS.
