Abstract
Development of the hardware and software relating to a system that accurately counts footfall
and profiles demographics based on the shoes a person is wearing. The system consists of a
hardware element including a camera, processor and communications equipment, and a
software infrastructure including communications and databasing, and innovative algorithms
that detect and profile people based on their footwear.
