The ‘WirldFire’ concept dry compresses paper/paperboard, extensively used for transport packaging, to produce briquettes for incineration in domestic wood burning stoves. Renewable energy generated from locally sourced biomaterial provides a cost competitive alternative to wood that often requires much energy input and cost in its production and transportation. This business model enables the development of an alternative biofuel industry generating employment and supporting the local economy.
