The investigation of the feasibility of integrating green wall systems into vertical building surfaces. Green walls cannot only improve building insulation properties, but also promote greenery in developed cities utilising otherwise neglected hard surfaces. Our aim is to demonstrate integration with the buildings and building environments of such vegetated systems, and to propose facade-integrated vegetation systems directly applicable to buildings in the UK.
