Abstract
In my PhD, I plan to work on the replication crisis in the social sciences. I will use a theoretical model of publication bias to explain the current trends regarding the reproducibility of results and analyse policy suggestions. I plan to write a paper on how the current incentive structure of scientific research leads to reproducibility problems. I may then write additional papers analysing the effects of specific policy changes, such as pre-registration of studies and improvement of statistical methods, in light of the results of this research.
