New business model for laser assisted additive manufacture of plastic electronics
Lead Participant:
DZP TECHNOLOGIES LIMITED
Abstract
This project will develop a business model for our proprietary technology, Laser Ink Transfer for Plastic Electronic Devices (LITPED). LITPED is a completely additive, zero-waste, high-resolution digital manufacturing process, suitable for mass customisation of printed and plastic electronics. This is a disruptive technology that will replace expensive and energy-intensive semiconductor manufacturing processes, and will create new supply chains and partnerships. The proposed study will use both primary and secondary data to develop a new business model, together with organising a Focus Group and a workshop. The project will produce a comprehensive report to guide the future technology and business development plans.
