AI ideation for creative businesses
Lead Participant:
SENSEFUL AI LTD
Abstract
UK's creative industries are undergoing a period of significant disruption.
Senseful AI are partnering with Wilderness to create an AI-driven collaborative ideation and concept generation platform which will enable creative businesses to meet the challenges of fast-paced technology growth.
The platform will take advantage of the cognitive linguistic AI model developed by Senseful AI.
The creative sector faces twin challenges of hybrid working and a fast-moving technology landscape. The content-creation capabilities of generative AI large language models pose an increasing challenge to competitive strategy.
Research shows an AI-driven collaborative ideation platform will enhance competitiveness and productivity.
This platform will disrupt current products in the general concepting space by adding data-driven smart decision-making into early-stage creative thinking. This will drive productivity and increase competitiveness through enhanced innovation. It will also support regional businesses by enabling smarter collaboration.
This study supports the UK government's drive to support research and innovation within creative industries, which form a significant portion of the UK economy.
The creative sector is a net exporter. It employs over 2 million people in the UK and contributes over £100 billion to the UK economy.
This feasibility study, supported by Innovate UK's BridgeAI programme, is one such example of the importance the government places on advancing the technological standing of businesses in the UK. BridgeAI's mission is to help businesses in high growth potential sectors such as the creative sector harness the power of AI and unlock their full potential.
Senseful AI is a spin out supported by the University of Exeter. The business has won research-council and venture-capital support for its innovative approach to AI. The founder, Dr William Short, is an expert in linguistics and computational language modelling. He has developed a cognitive linguistic modelling engine as part of university-supported research, which is the foundation of the AI platforms being developed.
Senseful AI's COO, Margaret Manning, OBE is an award-winning entrepreneur with 25+ years international experience within the creative and technology sectors. She has successfully founded and exited three digital technology businesses.
Our project collaborator, Wilderness Agency, founded in 2015, is one of the fastest growing agencies in Europe. They provide content creation and social content expertise to some of the world's biggest entertainment and consumer brands and are an ideal research partner for an AI-driven ideation platform.
