Designing interoperability software tailored to the needs of architects

Lead Participant: DIDIMI LTD

Abstract

In the landscape of BIM based information exchange, a pervasive challenge looms large as architects grapple with sharing design models across software tools like Revit, Tekla or Solidworks, resulting in an alarming 90% information loss. This not only imposes a considerable burden in terms of time but also introduces the potential for costly errors that burden the clients, diverting architects from their core competencies. To address this, we introduce a groundbreaking cloud collaboration tool meticulously crafted for architects.

Our innovative solution seamlessly integrates with leading design tools, offering a lifeline by preserving data integrity during the exchange of models. Architects can now redirect their energies towards their creative expertise without the persistent concern of information loss. More than just a remedy, our tool is a transformative force, engineered to be minimally invasive to existing workflows. By mitigating adoption risks, it guarantees an immersive and error-free collaboration experience, open to all architects.

Our cloud collaboration tool bridges the gap across design software tools; it bridges the gap between frustration and efficiency, offering architects a streamlined avenue to collectively unleash their creative potential. Embrace a future where collaboration knows no bounds, and architects thrive in a seamlessly connected design ecosystem.

Didimi and Chetwoods architects will work together to run a human-centred experiment around the architecture user. Didimi will work to understand the existing behaviours of architects and tailor the product interface to their specific needs and skills, on a real project.
