Abstract

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) reports [http://nlquery.epa.gov/epasearch
2015-01-13] that indoor air can be anywhere from two to five times more polluted than the air
outside. This can occur for a number of reasons. For instance, homes may lack adequate
ventilation and fresh airflow, which means that airborne viruses, allergens and other
contaminants can be trapped and re-circulated throughout the home. Indoor air may also
contain higher traces of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) resulting from chemical spray
cleaners and air fresheners.
Exposure to indoor pollutants—such as allergens, smoke, volatile organic compounds
(VOCs), pesticides, chemical cleaners, radon, carbon monoxide, and lead— can trigger
dangerous health conditions including allergies, asthma, other respiratory disorders, lead
poisoning, radon poisoning, and even cancer [http://www.sylvane.com/create-a-healthynursery.

We wish to develop our new product ‘CLEANAIR’ – an anti-viral anti-bacterial anti allergen
air conditioning unit for commercial, domestic and public buildings.
