Description | We have been able to assess tree different types of solid oxide cell looking at how well they perform in reverse operation. Data has been obtained that will allow modelling at cell and system level. Good performaces and stabilities are observed with optimal temperatures differing between the SOC type. In one geometryt we discovered a simple processing step that resolved ageeing issues. |
Exploitation Route | We are working with various industry partners across SOC developers and ORE implementers. |
Sectors | Energy |
Description | We have interacted witrh various industry and policy partners such as the Royal Society. Most importantly we have engaged with the multinational Technip who are based in Norway, France, UK etc. We visted their Deep Purple demonstrator in Kongsberg and had deep discussions about how our technology migth be implemented in the North Sea. |
