Quantum effects in black holes and early universe

Lead Research Organisation: University of Sussex
Department Name: Sch of Mathematical & Physical Sciences

Abstract

Quantum effects in black holes and early universe

The research project will span different topics in theoretical physics including quantum effects in black holes and in the early universe. The methodology will be based on methods using the concept of effective field theory. The aims of the project consist in calculating quantum effects to black holes and other astrophysical objects as well as in the early universe to gain some intuition on how to unify quantum physics with gravitational physics.
