Abstract
Globally, some 220 million people are affected by sight impediments. These conditions have a negative impact on users' well-being in terms of social inclusion, independence, ability to carry out activities of daily living, quality of life, and health and expose groups suffering them that include the elderly to even more vulnerability in their daily lives.
As a founder at GiveVision, I have designed experiments and mobilised hundreds of testers to iterate our first device and bring it to the market. I led on user experience, fundraising, partnerships and clinical trials.
As a female tech Founder, I have been involved in various initiatives to support fellow female entrepreneurs as well as younger individuals to pursue a career in Tech.
Building on the success of our first device (SightPlus) that has won critical acclaim, and which has demonstrated clinical excellence, we work on a couple of product variations (SightPlus for monitoring & SightPlus for live entertainment) to support sight loss prevention and patients' quality of life.
