TaluCard Project
Lead Participant:
BLUKITE GROUP LIMITED
Abstract
The TaluCard project by Blukite Group aims to revolutionise digital payments through innovative, inclusive, and secure financial solutions. Our focus is on addressing the significant accessibility challenges faced by visually impaired individuals, making financial transactions seamless and independent for all users.
TaluCard introduces the TaluTouch biometric payment card, which integrates advanced fingerprint authentication with our proprietary Tactile Guidance Markers (TGM) technology. TGMs provide a tactile reference point, allowing users to locate the fingerprint sensor accurately without visual assistance. This innovation reduces error rates, supports muscle memory, and ensures secure transactions.
Additionally, TaluCard features Visual Impaired Access (VIA) technology, which provides discreet transaction information through vibrations and audio prompts. This dual feedback mechanism ensures that visually impaired users can verify transaction details independently and confidently, reducing the need to share PINs and enhancing security.
Our TaluE virtual card, integrated with the Talu app, offers a digital-first solution for those preferring to manage finances digitally. The app, available on both iOS and Android, provides real-time transaction processing and multi-factor authentication for enhanced security.
TaluCard complies with the Payment Services Directive 2 (PSD II) and the UK's Consumer Duty Regulation, ensuring strong customer authentication, consumer protection, and fraud reduction. Our commitment to regulatory compliance builds trust among consumers and financial institutions alike.
By focusing on innovation, inclusivity, and security, the TaluCard project aims to make financial services more accessible, benefiting both visually impaired and sighted users. We are dedicated to promoting financial inclusion and setting new standards in the digital payments industry.
