GoVirol. A novel printing method for producing antimicrobial surfaces
Lead Participant:
CODIKOAT LTD
Abstract
CodiKoat have developed a novel antiviral film ('GoVirol'(r)) for use on hard surfaces. Our technology uses the electric charge created by arrays of photoactive particles to disrupt viral (and bacterial) cell structure. These arrays are currently successfully being produced by atomic layer deposition, onto adhesive sheets that are then cut to the sizes needed before application to the different surfaces.
CodiKoat believe that there are better methods for producing GoVirol, which would both result in higher throughput and be more economical. This project will establish whether we can produce our antiviral surfaces through printing.
