Innovative IT knowledge-based system

Abstract
Stanian’s objective is to develop the Electronic Positive Outcome Framework™ (ePOF), an
intelligent cloud based platform that facilitates the speedy identification of knowledge
artefacts for use within the delivery of ICT systems developed. The key innovation in ePOF is
to facilitate the real-time search and retrieval of contextually relevant ICT knowledge
components from a comprehensive asset library that assists in rapid problem solving, reducing
time, cost and risk and improving speed of delivery. The platform will be able to intelligently
and automatically analyse and extract pertinent documents, models, processes, best practices,
frameworks or standards that apply to specific contexts for the user. Over a quarter of all IT
projects end-up more than 50% over budget and half of all overspends are due to poor
forecasting, costing Irish and UK enterprises over €375m per annum. The platform would
allow for the delivery of ICT consultancy services far more cost effectively, with a structured
methodology and with embedded knowledge transfer for skills development and broader
availability to a wide audience of people. Stanian has identified orders of between 10% - 23%
of cost saving potential for companies that used their existing system. ePOF would enable
Stanian to deliver this expertise to a far greater number of companies and help save
companies and UK public sector several millions of pounds.
