Using quantum computers to solve challenging problems in high energy physics
Lead Research Organisation:
University College London
Department Name: Physics and Astronomy
Abstract
This project is aimed at studying the potential applicability of current and next generation quantum computers to challenging problems in high energy physics. In particular, this will focus on designing quantum algorithms to simulate multi-particle final states in high energy collisions at the Large Hadron Collider and in the reconstruction and identification of particles in the detectors.
