Abstract
25% of the energy density of the Universe is Dark Matter (DM). Understanding the nature of DM is an STFC priority. Current and future DM experiments have backgrounds from neutron (n) interactions with matter that mimic DM-nucleon elastic scattering. These backgrounds are controlled using veto systems. This project aims to develop new technology for n-veto systems for future DM experiments. This could have several other scientific and commercial applications.
