Charmonium resonances from lattice QCD

Abstract
Lattice QCD techniques will be developed and applied to study charmonium resonances, bound states and related phenomena. In recent years, a number of unexpected charmonium-like states have been observed by experiment close to or above the threshold for strong decay to lighter mesons. Masses and other properties will be computed in order to compare against the pattern of experimental observations and probe the structure of these mesons. I confirm that the area of this project falls within the STFC remit
