Discovery of radiative cooling inorganic multilayer thin films for enhanced PV performance

Lead Research Organisation: University of Liverpool
Department Name: Chemistry

Abstract

I will be conducting computational simulations (TMM, FDTD, RCWA, DFT) to predict the spectrally selective / optical properties of multilayer thin films. I will be using various machine learning models (Reinforcement learning, Genetic algorithms, Bayesian Optimisation) to design new multilayer thin films based on their simulated properties and predicted figure of merit as an emissive cooler on glass to enhance photovoltaic performance.
