Office furniture design for remanufacturing

This project is to investigate how to better design commercial furniture for remanufacturing to address today’s 165,000,000 kg of furniture sent to landfill every year.

It will do this by bringing essential but missing design and remanufacturing skills to our company, enabling us to reshape the furniture put into service so that it has many lifetimes. This will reduce furniture waste, create UK jobs in remanufacturing, reduce furniture costs for UK businesses and improve national balance of payments and resource security.
