Abstract
The Higgs sector of the Standard Model (SM) is widely recognised as a primary search field for new dynamics at fundamental scales or new particles. The effect of these Beyond-the-Standard-Model
(BSM) effect is conveniently parametrised in model-independent from through effective theories. In this thesis the student will investigate various production mechanisms and decay channels associated with the Higgs boson and determine possible limits on such effective theories at future LHC runs or future collider experiments, with particular focus on the consistent and systematic combination of wide ranges of data.
