Abstract

SenSIT aims to qualify the market for a high performance, low cost electronic device to assist people overcome dexterity problems caused by accident, disease or physical disablement. To achieve this, the project has designed and developed a prototype to sense and monitor human motion irregularities using different biofeedback techniques. Prototypes have been evaluated with clinicians and therapists to identify the user needs, market areas and characteristics. The project assessed the viability, adoption and values for prospective operation in the community and domestic environments and supply chain issues. It is now engaged in product development.
