Abstract
"The business is in the process of implementing an efficiency programme but have encountered a stumbling block in moving forward with our IT system. This will require a significant planning exercise and transfer of IT systems and its data is required but lack the expertise/knowledge to implement this change and ensure it is a success.
The new system & software will enable the business to work remotely and around the clock to deliver the best possible service to its clients whenever & wherever they require it. An off-the-shelf solution would not provide as high a return on investment.
Finally, a significant strain on our resources and physical space results from the fact that all of our paper files have to be kept up to 25 years depending on the custodial sentence of our clients, sometimes even longer. Part of this innovation project we plan to scan all documents and store them electronically, which will only be achieved with an investment in the IT system & new methods of working. "
