Abstract
The candidate intends to research the hazards presented to armoured vehicle crews and dismounted service personnel while in anticipated scenarios in a battlefield situation. As the current analysis with current armoured vehicle development is focussed on contractual obligation and not focussed on the anticipated usage of an armoured vehicle in a complex battlefield situation. As highlighted by the use of the Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005 and the Control of Vibration at Work Regulations 2005 as a measure of protection to service personnel. To understand the complexity and the cognitive impact on all involved and how best to measure the exposure of hazards to those impacted with in service protection that is provided to service personnel. Also, to provide an understanding of typical noise incurred by service personnel in these environments and how that is measured in a repeatable fashion for the future.
