The NA62 experiement

Lead Research Organisation: University of Bristol
Department Name: Physics

Abstract

The overall aim of the project is the analysis of data from the NA62 experiment to develop the software tools to produce and improved measurement of RK. Initially the student will have responsibility for the detector control system of the NA62 KTAG detector and in particular preparations for running with Hydrogen gas as the radiator. Some time will be spent gaining familiarity with the analysis code through preliminary measurements on minimum bias data which will confirm the detector performance in areas crucial to the improved Rk measurement.
