The role of potential growth promoters in manipulation of insect growth and composition.

Lead Research Organisation: University of Nottingham
Department Name: Sch of Biosciences

Abstract

The overall aim of this project is to determine the mechanisms by which potential growth promoters manipulate insect growth and body composition. The study will determine whether by combining feed manipulation with these agents the efficiency of insect production for feed or food can be increase. In addition the project will seek to investigate whether changes in insect composition influence their food processing characteristics.
