Multistatic Rapid Environmental Assessment

Abstract

The aim here is to exploit the information in real sonar data from multistatic trials to obtain environmental parameters that influence the sound speed profile and thus the performance predictions (trials are scheduled that coincide with the PhD timeline but historical/synthetic data could possibly be used if needed). This would give real-time / rapid updates in environmental parameters, which could greatly reduce the uncertainty in any given tactical advice
