Detector Development for Particle Physics and Application to Environmental Monitoring

Lead Research Organisation: Royal Holloway University of London
Department Name: Physics

Abstract

The thesis will describe the application of silicon photon sensors to the detection of low energy interactions- specifically for detecting the presence of lead in drinking water using astroparticle physics techniques, and detecting low-energy neutrino-nucleus interaction scattering products over a new kinematic phase space.
