Sensitivity of Bayesian Decision Analysis: a tool for robust climate adaptation decision making

Lead Research Organisation: University of Bristol
Department Name: Mathematics

Abstract

This project focuses on the use of Bayesian decision analysis (BDA) for climate adaptation decision-making. BDA is a decision-making framework well-suited for complex situations in which the state of nature affecting the decision is uncertain. As such, BDA is a valuable tool for environmental decision-making. The aim of the project is to develop novel approaches for using BDA as a tool for robust climate adaptation decision-making under deep uncertainty, with a focus on both theoretical innovation and practical applications of this framework to real-world decision-making problems.
