Farmer and Veterinary Practices and Opinions Related to Fertility Testing and Pregnancy Diagnosis of UK Dairy Cows.
in Frontiers in veterinary science
| Description | We performed a UK-wide survey of dairy farmers and veterinarians to reveal current practices and preferences in the diagnosis of pregnancy, mastitis and metabolic diseases in dairy farms. The survey identified a desire by farmers for a test that can diagnose pregnancy early (before 21 days after insemination) in cows, as well as end-user preferences for how such test should work |
| Exploitation Route | The results may be used to inform the development of novel diagnostic assays to increase dairy cow reproductive efficiency and milk productivity |
