Hardware and software development for current and future neutrino experiments

Lead Research Organisation: University of Liverpool
Department Name: Physics

Abstract

Neutrino research is important for both high energy physics and astrophysics. Current experiments investigate neutrino properties through the observation of solar, atmospheric and manmade neutrinos. Physical phenomena studied through these observations include CP Violation, neutrino oscillations and supernovae bursts. Current and future experiments include T2K, Super-Kamiokande, Hyper-Kamiokande and SNO+ respectively. This project will include a combination of data analysis and hardware development for one or more of the aforementioned experiments.
