Modelling of batteries

Abstract

This project seeks to develop and analyse continuum models for lithium ion transport in lithium ion batteries. It will focus on lithium transport in the electrode materials, the transfer of lithium between the electrode material and the electrolyte and transport in the electrolyte. The overall aim of the project is to help develop physically accurate models of the Li-batteries and methods to solve them.
