SOLVING OPTIMISATION PROBLEMS ON NOISY QUANTUM COMPUTERS

Lead Research Organisation: University of Oxford
Department Name: Oxford Physics

Abstract

"solving optimization problems on noisy quantum computers". It revolves around the growing trend of hybrid quantum-classical algorithms, which use quantum computers in conjunction with a classical feedback loop to minimise or maximise a cost function. Most notably, these algorithms have been shown to be more tolerant to noise than traditional quantum algorithms, making them excellent candidates to explore today's generation of noisy intermediate-scale quantum (NISQ) computer
