Foraging In The Uk: A Critical Posthuman Study Of Contested Knowledges And Practices

Lead Research Organisation: CARDIFF UNIVERSITY
Department Name: Cardiff School of Planning and Geography

Abstract

The aim is to examine how globalisation of food and food stigma is understood in indigenous communities. Although the impacts of globalisation on food consumption have been explored in geographical sciences, indigenous ontological frameworks are often not considered. Therefore this research will contribute to an understanding of race in the study of food and sit alongside research by geographers that are exploring postcolonial methodologies.
