The project will initially consider the rotating disc boundary layer flow and will investigate the effect on its stability

Lead Research Organisation: University of Surrey
Department Name: Mathematics

Abstract

The project will initially consider the rotating disc boundary layer flow and will investigate the effect on its stability when including a compliant surface above the disc. We will do this in both the inviscid and viscous regimes. This work will then be extended potentially considering shear flows and/or jet flows in a similar way. The project will consider both the convective and absolute stability properties of the flow
