Operators on Banach Spaces

"The project will investigate bounded operators acting on Baernstein's Banach space. This Banach space can be viewed as a stepping stone, or link, between the Banach spaces of Schreier and Tsirelson. While the operators on the latter spaces have been investigated in significant detail recently, much less is known about Baernstein's space. The project will address that by seeking to develop analogues for Baernstein's space of the results known for the Scheier and Tsirelson spaces, and highlight the subtle differences between these spaces."
