Abstract
ISOsort is a novel integration of relatively mature component technologies into a high throughput, fully automated, fully self-documenting solution for the sorting and segregation of a wide range of nuclear wastes at a competitive price.
At Phase 1, the consortium established the technical and commercial feasibility of a modular, transportable design that would enable a waste-treatment-as-a-service business model. Phase 2 will demonstrate the key performance metrics for this system for real nuclear waste, underpinning the business case for investment and commercialisation.
