E3 ACADEMY
Abstract
The E3 Academy has operated with great success for 14 years, delivering high quality graduates to a group of Tier 1 and SME companies operating in the PEMD space, by providing students with a scholarship through their undergraduate degree programmes as well as focused vacation training and an annual summer school where students build valuable networks from diverse industrial and academic backgrounds.
At present E3 companies offer approximately 14 new scholarships each year. The E3 Academy also engages in attracting school leavers into PEMD appropriate degree programmes and all universities involved have seen the benefit in terms of strong recruitment of school-leavers, industrial support leading to excellent graduate outcomes, the enhancement of existing programmes and development of new programmes.
The E3 Academy has been hugely successful for the companies and universities involved. The process works, and in light of unprecedented and rapidly growing demand, now and in the future, the time is right to expand. Whilst many companies in the PEMD space are desperate for graduates, they are not aware of the E3 Academy and how it can help them in their skills planning.
This project will bring together the necessary collateral and present it in a truly compelling manner to companies in the PEMD space across multiple industrial sectors. Beyond the project the E3 Academy team looks to engage more broadly with the KTN and DER to highlight the opportunities for E3 to support many more companies. The ambition to double the number of companies and thereby scholarships offered is seen as highly conservative.
