Inspection Robotics for USA

Lead Participant: INNVOTEK LTD

Abstract

This feasibility study focuses on the US markets for robotics and AI, specifically robotic inspection. Part of our business growth strategy is to enter this lucrative market with our innovative products through:

1.Identifying suitable partners and stakeholders for market entry;

2.Developing a marketing strategy, to understand the market potential for exploitation;

3.Undertaking a technology watch, adapting the technology to suit the target market;

4.Developing an IP and commercialisation strategy to determine the protectable features of our robots and opportunities for exploitation;

5.Developing a business model for the US robotic inspection market. The US robotic inspection market is fairly unexploited, marked by its large size and attractive segmentation (emerging offshore wind market combined with marine applications in the east coast, a large blue-economy on the west coast, and significant markets in oil/gas in the south), which fits our business offerings and strategy. The market is behind curve in robotics compared to the UK market, driven by high labour rates, combined with differing safety regulations. This feasibility study will allow us to explore this market and to develop international relationships necessary to address them.
