**Demand will double** in the next 15 years, with a significant deficit in the quality and quantity of home care available. 1.5million adults today have an unmet care need (Age UK 2018) and demand is rapidly increasing.

Additionally, a 'one size fits all' approach to care delivery (de-personalised care) neglects outcomes and disempowers older people, often leading to reluctance to seek support and thus a worsening of mental and physical health conditions; and high rates of unpaid carer breakdown. The impact is profound with poor continuity of care, lack of long-term relationships, and worsening economic inequality.
