Sustainable Fashion Digitally Enabled (SFDE)
Lead Participant:
GREENTECHFASHION LIMITED
Abstract
The fashion and textiles industry is known as one of the worst polluters of the environment. However, many businesses and practitioners within the industry are actively searching and finding ways to reduce the negative environmental impact of fashion products, this is one of such projects.
We plan to adopt circular-economy model principles in the design, production and sales of sustainable fashion garments. We will employ Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) technologies to achieve our goals and involve the consumer in the creation and design of their garments. These items will be made by our small but dedicated team based in Sheffield.
