Makielab

Makielab is a startup toys and games company, making games and toys from the same 3D dataset. LaunchPad funds fasttracked the prototype to Alpha, demonstrating Makielab’s innovation in the area of customisable, networked play and ability to create customisable 3D printed toys. Makielab use clean and sustainable technology and materials, and aim to disrupt the existing toy-making processes which are in the vast majority (96% of the Western market) unsustainably executed in China. We are focussed on bridging the virtual and physical worlds with characters and products, exploring how we can create value from data and new materials, developing deeper and more meaningful toys and play.
