Abstract
The VendaBank project is a major product development initiative being undertaken by Wax Digital in 2012/13 in partnership with a number of customers and third party organisations, part-funded by the Technology Strategy Board.
The headline goals for this project, are as follows:
» To create a single unified supplier data store across the >35,000 suppliers currently registered with Wax Digital web3
» To give those suppliers a single point of trade across all those clients where multiple trading relationships exist
» To allow suppliers to trade with one another on the same platform
» To facilitate ‘open’ communications and transactional exchange between VendaBank suppliers and third party exchanges/ERP systems/marketplaces
The VendaBank project will improve the ability of all digital supply chain participants to create value by removing barriers to trade; shortening supply chains; enabling large-to-micro trading in any marketplace; simplifying digital trading across sectors; reducing cost, manual overhead and waste in multiple industries; enabling supplier self-regulation; thereby changing business models of goods and services provision across multiple sectors.
